The first time I met Dennis, Uncle Cliffy got us all tickets to see Peter Tosh. We left the faire site and headed towards Syracuse, me driving, Denny riding shotgun. He finished the Jack Daniels bottle and threw it out the window. I pulled the car over and made him walk back to get it. We became fast friends. Pick that bottle up, indeed.
Through the miracle of modern technology, I recorded this all- drums guitar and piano, in less than 2 hours. Thanks to Jeffee for the studio time.
Brother Pompadour
He gave out Free Advice
Which was never really free
Born in a stable like the man from Galilee
He pulled no punches.
He told no lies.
He lived his life until the day he died
FlashCube punk rock roadie beefy bouncer man
Holy Loco Gringo runnin’ faster than you can
That buffalo he killed, he tried to avoid
wasn’t the only sacred cow he ever destroyed.
Slow down, you’re livin too fast.
Slow down, take your foot off of the gas.
Brother pick that bottle up.
Brother put that bottle down.
Stop acting like a clown and buy another round.
Harley down the highway Get the Volvo runnin right
We can make Houston by morning
if we leave New York tonight
Listening to Blood On The Tracks
reading Garp all night long
That Peruvian marching band is playing our song
6:01 yes! But no 420 for you
Broken arrow empire, and banker man too
Hero on the half shell
And now the Buddha sighs
As long as one of us lives you know he never dies.
